Jos Buttler of England has become the only wicketkeeping batsman with the most number of T20I sixes against India in India as the other players now come beneath him.
As the third T20I match out of five continued at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Buttler’s inning of 83* on 52 played a crucial role in chasing a target of 157.
His innings comprised of four sixes and five fours to tackle the Indian bowling line-up registering the second win of the five-match t20I series.
Johnny Bairstow added his part with 40 runs to brought up 40 runs on 28 balls. India’s captain, Virat Kohli, finally showed his original form with a stunning role of 77 runs.
Other men in blue contributed with ordinary runs to pile up 156 in the end with the bat but failed on the pitch that turned out to be extremely handy for the bowlers in the 1st Ahmedabad Test between Eng and Ind.
Consequently, they failed as England now have the grip by 2-1 with two more matches to go.
However, returning back to Buttler, he often has turned out to be a provoking wicketkeeping batsman for the three lions. If we look at a list of the top five batsmen with the most sixes in T20Is in India against India, Buttler tops the extravagant list.
The magnificent Kumar Sanggakara ranks second on the list whereas, South Africa’s De Kock, New Zealand’s Brendon McCullum, and Bangladesh’s Mushfiqur Rahim falls after him.
