Wasim Khan Resigns as Pakistan Cricket Board’s CEO

The CEO of Pakistan Cricket Board has submitted his resignation letter to the newly elected PCB Chairman . Wasim Khan, the current CEO of PCB took his office in 2019. The British Born Pakistani is credited for a lot of good things in Pakistan Cricket lately. From inviting Sri Lanka to tour Pakistan to play Test Cricket, to staging the entire PSL in Pakistan, Wasim Khan was applauded by a lot of Pakistan Cricket fans.

Sources claim that Wasim Khan submitted his resignation letter over lack of power issues. It was already learnt that when Ramiz Raja will takeover as PCB Chairman, a lot of people will resign from the Pakistan Cricket Board. When Ramiz Raja was guaranteed to be the chairman, Pakistan Cricket Team’s coaching staff also stepped down prior to the World T20 2021.

The Board of governors accepted the resignation of Wasim Khan. PCB Chairman, Ramiz Raja applauded the work and efforts of Mr Wasim Khan for Pakistan Cricket. Wasim Khan recalled his best moment that was the tour of Sri Lanka to Pakistan during which Test Cricket resumed in Pakistan. Wasim Khan wished best of luck to the new PCB Chairman of future.
