Wahab Riaz Provides an Update on his Future:
After making his successful debut as an analyst on A Sports during the World T20 2021, many believed that Wahab Riaz will be never seen again on a cricket field, at least in Pakistan colours. Being at the age of 35, it was expected that Wahab will now be retired from playing cricket and will be seen as an analyst or as a Commentator. In a recent interview with a top website, Wahab revealed that he is still hungry to play for Pakistan. Wahab Riaz was once again seen on a cricket field during the ongoing edition of T10 League.
‘I still want to play for Pakistan. I am performing well in different Leagues to make my comeback happen. Becoming a Commentator or an analyst is a conversation for 3-4 years later’, Wahab stated. This clearly meant that Wahab believes that he can still play for 3-4 years. Wahab Riaz revealed his plans that his focus is currently on T10 League, then the Lanka Premier league and then Pakistan Super League. He will be playing all top Leagues to prove the selectors that he is still fit and he still has got form.
The left arm pacer also praised Pakistan’s performance in Bangladesh. Pakistan whitewashed Bangladesh in a 3 match T20I series in Bangladesh. Wahab applauded the fact that what Australia and New Zealand couldn’t do, Pakistan did it.
