Shadab Khan Nears Another Big Milestone in T20 Cricket:
Shadab Khan has had a year to remember in T20 Cricket. As a captain, he finished on top of the group stage during Pakistan Super League 2021. As a bowler, he has regained his form and had a great World T20 2021, and he has continued his good form after the World T20 as well. Shadab Khan has taken 20 wickets this year in T20I Cricket at an average of 16.70 and an economy rate of 6.5. He is the third highest wicket taker for Pakistan in T20I Cricket this year.
After picking up 3 wickets and helping Pakistan to win the first T20I against West Indies at National Stadium Karachi, Shadab Khan now has 197 wickets in T20 Cricket. He is just 3 more wickets away from breaking the 200-T20 Wickets barrier. Not many Pakistani bowlers have done that, and if Shadab does it in the remaining two matches of the West Indies series, he will join a list of some elite T20 bowlers that Pakistan has ever had.
Amongst the spinners, Shadab Khan will become the 4th Pakistani Spinner to take 200 wickets in T20 Cricket. Before him, Shahid Afridi, Saeed Ajmal and Imad Wasim have achieved this record. Overall, Shadab Khan will become tenth Pakistani bowler to have 200 wickets in his bag in T20 Cricket. Other names include; Sohail Tanvir, Wahab Riaz, Yasir Arafat, Shahid Afridi, Saeed Ajmal, Azhar Mahmood, Mohammad Amir, Umar Gul and Imad Wasim.
Shadab Khan is already Pakistan’s third-highest wicket taker in T20I Cricket. He also has won 6 Man of the Match awards in T20I Cricket for Pakistan and is now all set to achieve the Milestone of 200 T20 Wickets for Pakistan.
