Ramiz Raja to Porpose Annual Quadrangular T20I Series:
The Chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board either loves making headlines or whatever he does, becomes a headline automatically. The latest report by an Australian website reveals that PCB Chairman is all set to propose for an annual quadrangular T20I series between Australia, England, Pakistan and India. The Ashes rivalry of Australia and England, and the IndoPak rivalry are the two most hyped rivalries in the game’s history. Although Ashes happens every year, India and Pakistan have not played a bilateral series in almost a decade now. The reason behind this is the political tension existing between the two Asian countries.
However, the news suggest that Ramiz Hasan Raja wants to contribute in resuming IndoPak cricket somehow. The idea is a great one and the broadcasters will be licking their lips as Ashes and IndoPak rivalry promise great TV ratings. So if this happens, it would surely be record breaking. PCB is always keen to resume Cricketing Ties with their arch-rivals India. However BCCI avoids this question by putting everything on their current government. Currently, two former cricketers, Saurav Ganguly and Ramiz Raja are the Chairmen of BCCI and PCB respectively, and as sportsman they surely know to keep sports and politics separate. There is indeed a glimmer of a hope but we will have to wait and find out if this will actually happen.
