Central Punjab have blown Southern Punjab away from the Quaid e Azam Trophy (QeAt 2020-21) declaring a ten-wicket victory over them to qualify for the final. Consequently, CP’s preparations are now headed towards the final as Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are already waiting for combat all set to be hosted by the National Stadium Karachi on 1st January 2021.
After winning the toss, SP chose to bowl but failed in the depart as CP declared on 493 runs losing only seven wickets. Later, SP’s first inning gave another blow to them as they were thrashed out on 187 with CP’s being dominant in their bowling and fielding as well.
The trailing side then stepped into their second inning scoring 368 runs making a lead of just 62 runs. CP, who earlier declared, remaining with the second inning, easily hit 63 runs as Mohammad Akhlaq and Mohammad Saad secured 38 and 25 runs on 42 and 18 balls respectively.
