The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and six franchises of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) have scheduled the seventh edition of the extravagant league for early 2022. According to the mutual declaration, PSL 7 is all set to commence in January alongside probable chances of termination in February.
After the PSL 6 has successfully been concluded, the PCB and the PSL franchises met in a teleconference taking the respective decision on Friday. The meeting was represented by the CEO Wasim Khan, Chief Operating Officer Salman Naseer, GM Commercial Imran Ahmed Khan, and PSL Senior General Manager Operations Usman Wahla.
The two gatherings also addressed the commercial rights cycle establishing a framework for rights evaluation and their subsequent sale.

Notably, Salman Iqbal and Tariq Wasi (both Karachi Kings), Sameen Rana (Lahore Qalandars), Haider Azhar (Multan Sultans), Nadeem Omar (Quetta Gladiators), Nausherwan Effendi (Peshawar Zalmi), and Ali Naqvi (Islamabad United) were the franchises holders who attended the meeting.
It is pertinent to mention that PSL 6 faced several issues in its duration as COVID spread in the country pulled it out of the realm. After the first phase being successfully winded up in Karachi, it could not give cricketing vibes in Lahore as the management decided to drag it to the UAE for its completion.
