Pakistani Players in Abu Dhabi T10 League | T10 Draft:
The draft for the fifth season of Abu Dhabi T10 League has concluded. Multiple Pakistani players were picked in the draft and will be seen in action in the shortest format of the game soon. The tournament is expected to start from 22nd January 2022 and will conclude in the initial days of February 2022. 6 teams will be participating in the fifth edition of T10 League. Following is the list of Pakistani players who’ll feature in the League’s 2022 edition:
Pakistani Players in Maratha Arabians:
Left Arm Pace Bowler Wahab Riaz has been picked by Maratha Arabians in the T10 League. Wahab has a vast experience in limited overs cricket. He was the second highest wicket taker of Pakistan Super League’s sixth edition. Wahab’s extreme pace makes him a valuable choice for any team. Hard hitting batsman Azam Khan was also picked by Maratha Arabians. Azam has built a reputation of being a pinch hitter. He featured for Deccan Gladiators earlier in the T10 League. The 23 year old’s T20 Strike rate is 144 which makes him one of the most destructive batsman in short formats of the game.
Pakistani Players in Delhi Bulls:
Inform top order batsman, Sohaib Maqsood was selected by Delhi Bulls for the fifth edition of T10. Sohaib was the best batsman of the sixth edition of Pakistan Super League. He was seen doing very well with the bat in Pakistan’s domestic T20 tournament, the National T20 Cup 2021. He’s also a part of the World T20 Squad of Pakistan. However his injury remains a big concern for Delhi Bulls. Nevertheless there’s still plenty of time left in T10’s start and Delhi Bulls will expect Sohaib to be fit and destroy the bowlers in T10 League.
Pakistani Players in Bangla Tigers:
Former Pakistan Captain , Shahid Afridi was chosen by Bangla Tigers in the draft. Afridi’s leg spin bowling is still lethal and he still has the potential to trouble the batsmen. His hard hitting ability is an additional benefit to the teams picking him. Afridi was recently seen playing the Kashmir Premier League where he had fairly good outings with the ball and ended up winning the tournament as captain. Apart from Afridi, former Pace Bowler of Pakistan, Mohammad Amir was also picked by Bangla Tigers. Aamir didn’t have a good PSL 6, but he was one of the best bowlers in the recently concluded Caribbean Premier League. Aamir was injured however and couldn’t compete in the later half of CPL. Nevertheless Afridi and Amir are vastly experienced and will surely deliver their best for Bangla Tigers.
Pakistani Players in Team Abu Dhabi:
Lahore Qalandars’ very own product, Ahmed Daniyal was picked by Team Abu Dhabi in the draft. The pick is termed tricky as Daniyal is still raw. However he did show some good performances in Pakistan Super League six. Ahmed Daniyal possesses good hitting ability with the bat, while he bowls fairly well.
Pakistani Players in Deccan Gladiators:
Two inform players in the domestic circuit of Pakistan, Anwar Ali and Rumman Raees, both were picked by Deccan Gladiators. Rumman Raees recently picked a Hat-Trick in the National T20 Cup 2021 of Pakistan. He’s one of the top bowlers of the tournament. Rumman is known as the variation King, and in format like T10, variations matter a lot. Anwar Ali has also been in some red hot form lately. His six hitting ability is unmatchable down the order. Moreover he can swing the new ball both ways which makes him a very valuable asset for any side.
Pakistani Players in Northern Warriors:
The most surprising Pakistani player to be picked was Abdul Wahid Bangalzai. Northern Warriors decided to pick this young and raw batsman from Balochistan. With a T20 strike rate of just 106, this pick is very surprising. Bangalzai does possess the potential, but he lacks firepower. It would be interesting to see how Northern Warriors use this batsman.
