The warmup matches are quite important to Pakistan as Pakistan didn’t have much chances to shape a proper lineup. Their preparatory series against New Zealand and England were abandoned hence they could not test their selected squad. These 2 matches will play key role in deciding that what lineup should Pakistan play in the main stage of the tournament. Both warmups are against good sides, particularly against West Indies as they are the T20 Specialist side as well as the defending champions. Teams can also play their reserve players in the warmup matches. In Pakistan, the warmup matches will be televised through PTV Sports and the newly launched A Sports. This will give the Pakistani fans a chance to witness how well their team is prepared ahead of the mega event.
