Pakistan Goes full Strength as Bangladesh Series Kicks off Tomorrow:
Pakistan Cricket Team will meet Bangladesh for a 3 match T20I series beginning from Friday. Pakistan is currently ranked 3rd in the ICC T20I Rankings while Bangladesh is ranked 8th. Recently in the World T20 2021, Pakistan won 5 out of their 6 games while Bangladesh returned home without even winning a single match in the Super 12 stage of the tournament. Bangladesh however had defeated Australia and New Zealand, the two finalists of World T20 2021, prior to the World T20. Bangladesh is the best side at their home and it is proved by the fact that they defeated the both the finalists of World T20 2021 in home series. However Pakistan possess the potential of hammering any opposition in any conditions.
It was expected that Pakistan would rest their major players in this series as it is not a full strength Bangladesh side. Bangladesh will be missing out on their experiencing guns, Mushfiqur Rahim and Shakib-Al-Hasan. Mushfiqur Rahim has been rested while Shakib is recovering from an injury. It was a good opportunity for Pakistan to rest their work horses but they have once again announced a full strength 12 Men Squad for the First T20I. Both teams will meet at Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium, Mirpur, Dhaka. Both teams have a chance to improve their T20I Rankings. Pakistan would go to 2nd spot if they win 3-0, while if Bangladesh is able to whitewash Pakistan then they will rise up to the seventh spot.Bangladesh have defeated Pakistan only twice in the history of T20I Cricket. Both teams have faced each other 12 times in the format, Pakistan emerged victorious 10 times.
Bangladesh have a good performance due on them after a horrible World T20 Campaign. Their fans are greatly disappointed and they wish to see their team performing well. Pakistan did great in the World T20 2021, and being the Semi Finalists of the Mega Event, it would be a great disappointment if they lose to No 8 ranked side.Pakistan will surely begin as the favorites, as the rankings, the recent form and the strength of the side, all is in Pakistan’s favor. Bangladesh have the conditions advantage and they are masters on their own ground.
