The wicketkeeping mid-order batting sensation, Sarfaraz Ahmed, having years-old experience of aggressive limited-overs captaincy roared once again on the field on being selected in the playing XI after a gap of over a year.
Sarfaraz, who was sacked from the captaincy and later from the team, performed in the domestic cricket to prove his worth regaining the form. Being chosen once again in the squad since the last few games, Sarfaraz was yet to be in the playing XI.
As PCB sat Shadab Khan and Asif Ali on the bench, Sarfaraz finally got a chance in the deciding ODI as PAK vs SA three-match One-Day International series commences in South Africa.
The watchers were expecting a decent inning from the former skipper but all he could give was 13 runs on 13 balls. Remaining uninspiring with the bat after a long gap on missing the international field, he made sure to utilize the chance in South Africa’s inning being active behind the wickets.
That old Sarfaraz with an aggressive approach towards the game and moment of joyfulness on bowlers’ success was once again seen today. Twitter already talks about Sarfaraz’s smile when Hasan Ali delivered a dot ball on the no-ball’s free hit.

It might take a few innings to settle himself on the spot as the case similar Fawad Alam who failed to perform on the first chance after a gap of over a decade but later was seen slamming hundreds.
It is not speculated if the motivated player will be getting ahead chances in the upcoming tours and schedules.
