Mohammad Hafeez, the exceptional batting all-rounder from Pakistan, is now only the second Pakistani to feature in the 100th T20I.
He will officially be the holder of this record playing the first T20I match scheduled to be played on 10th April as Pak vs SA T20I series commences. Notably, he will be sixth player from the world to play 100 or more T20Is.
Hafeez, who has proved his form in the batting depart remained the top-scorer in T20Is in the year 2020. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is keen to welcome him continually in the limited-over cricket seeking his form in the formats.

Mohammad Hafeez will become the second Pakistan player and sixth overall to feature in 100 T20Is when he takes the field against South Africa in first of the four men’s Twenty20 Internationals at the Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg on Saturday, said the PCB in a press release
Notably, Shoaib Malik had been the first Pakistani cricketer to feature in the 100+ T20I matches and his career continues. Consequently, these two Pakistanis are in the elite list of Rohit Sharma, Martin Guptill, Eoin Morgan, and Ross Taylor.
The two teams, Pakistan and South Africa are to feature in a four-match T20I series. Later, the men in green will be flying to Zimbabwe for a red-ball and a white-ball series.
