Witnessing a downfall of the Pakistan Cricket Team throughout a three-match ODI series versus England must have been heavy on green’s fans. This was not the only poor showcase in the fifty-over format but the similar consistent performances have been their part for so long since back on.

Pakistan, who have done wonders in the T20Is so often, decided to render promising performances in the three-match T20I series against England after being whitewashed in the prior ODI series.

As Pak vs Eng T20I series has commenced tonight, the total put up by the men in green whilst batting first has astonished the watchers with terrific knocks. The batters stayed throughout the powerplay and even after that putting up mighty runs in the first ten overs and then continuing with 152 runs in the second phase.

Consequently, it registers a record for Pakistan Cricket Team as no team other than them has scored 150+ runs in the last ten overs of a T20I match. Also, tonight’s wonderful innings indeed have put up wonders for the visitors at Trent Bridge as they have brought up their highest ever T20I total in the format.

What was done in the ODIs is totally opposite of what has happened in the first T20I – the team looks brutal and modified although proceeding with a similar squad.

Undoubtedly, the Babar-led team has been floundering in ODIs for a longer but they have been surviving decently in the T20Is. Pakistan’s downfall in the ODI started after representing themselves in the World Cup 2019 – the team almost lost struggling Afghanistan too but thanks to the veteran Shoaib Malik and Imad Wasim who saved the game for them.

On the other hand, the same team has often bloomed in the T20Is. Not forgetting, once the side became the world’s number one T20I team staying for the long tenure with appealing showcases on and off.

Unquestionably, there was a lot of criticism on social forums after either of them; bowlers and batters failed horribly versus the second-string English squad in the ODI series. But, the same fans are now loading the forums with praises for their beloved after they have compiled 232 runs losing only 6 wickets in 120 balls.

However, the destiny is yet to be witnessed in the last two T20Is as it is said, Pakistan cricket at its best, one minute down, next minute up – Probably, the current conditions imply ‘down’ to their ODIs performances and ‘up’ to that of T20Is. But, certainties favor men in green’s triumph in the current series. Tell your thoughts in the comments below.
