The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and the six franchises of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) have agreed mutually on organizing the remaining matches of HBL PSL 6 this summer.
Choosing Karachi as the destines venue, the official revealed that no matches will be conducted in Lahore’s Gadaffi Stadium but the National Stadium will proceed to welcome the popping T20 league.
There are no tentative or authoritative dates announced but the season will recommence somewhere during June’s window.
Earlier, it was speculated that May will be the possible window as there are no special events amidst the IPL 2021 in India. But, the PCB community has chosen a window when there is no IPL.
No PSL 6 match in Lahore as PCB announces Karachi as ‘entire host’
“Pakistan Cricket Board and the Franchises, the PSL Governing Council, are aiming to reschedule the remaining 20 HBL Pakistan Super League 6 matches in June 2021 in Karachi,” PCB said in a media release today.
People suspected already that there can be no PSL after July as Asia Cup and T20 World Cup are scheduled later to take place in Sri Lanka and India respectively.
“June emerged as the most preferred and practical window due to Pakistan men’s national cricket team’s international commitments in March/April and late August/September,” the statement added.
Notably, the event got called off after the fourteenth match between QG and MS was coiled up at NSK.
