Muzaffarabad Tigers vs Rawalakot Hawks, KPL 2021 Qualifier Match Report
The Qualifier of the inaugural release of the Kashmir Premier League (KPL 2021) featured Muzaffarabad Tigers vs Rawalakot Hawks.
Initially, the game looked in the Hawks’ favor after the Tigers put up a mediocre show with the bat. They lost early wickets, but the last five overs brought delights to them.
Thanks to Anwar Ali, who added a 32-ball fifty and helped grasping over 70 runs in the five overs. It looked like a comfortable chase for the Hawks as the home team totaled 164 runs losing 8 wickets.
But the tables often turn quicker than we perceive – it happened in the KPL 2021 Qualifier match. Hawks did not have a reliable start too. After a wicket fall, there were absolute delights and confidence for the Tigers’ bowlers who dug out back-to-back Hawks.
Notably, Hussain Talat and Danish Aziz gave some hopes for the team to be in the final, but they were shattered after they collapsed. Surely, the game went tough, but the Tigers did not lose hope until they became the first team to be in the KPL 2021 final.
Although the Tigers collapsed with the bat, the bowlers and fielders steal the limelight with active fielding despite a few flaws somewhere in mid. Sohail picked 4 wickets from their end, being the top wicket-taker of the game. Hawks’ Talat missed being the top-scorer just by 5 runs as Anwar topped the chart.
