Wasim Khan, the newly appointed chief selector of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is all set to attend his first meeting occupying the post. The meeting, which is scheduled to take place between 10th-14th January, will hold discussions regarding the South Africa tour of Pakistan 2021.
Wasim, who was a highly strong candidate to become the chief selector in place of Misbah ul Haq, was chosen finally for the post last month. As of now, he will continue to choose the squads as selecting the players against South Africa will be his first task.
Misbah, who was appointed as the head coach and a chief selector, has so far failed to inspire. Handling two posts at once was a challenging task and also the changes in PCB policies now restrict a single person to uphold multiple posts.
According to the reliable reports, Misbah is also to be sacked as a head coach as Andy Flower or Gray Kristen is the stronger candidate to replace him.
