The lastly held edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) was entirely organized in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) amidst the rising COVID fears in India and its subsidiaries. The consequences led the nation to vast criticism from the neighbour country as they host the entire Pakistan Super League (PSL 2020) in Pakistan despite the COVID cases.
It was speculated that IPL 2021 will probably be moved to UAE again but it looks like the BCCI and the authorities have decided to stick to India this time to avoid the humorous taunts. Announcing the date for the player draft, the mini-auction has been finalized for 18th February as the eight teams will continue to pick their favorites being under budget.
Earlier this month, the IPL retention and releasing process has been coiled up giving a shock to the fan line-up releasing many big names including Aaron Finch, Steve Smith, Kieron Pollard, Sheldon Cotrell, James Neesham, and many more from their respective teams.
It is the chance for the other franchises to gloom their team with the released big names. However, despite choosing multiple venues, the BCCI has decided to go to Chennai to host the 60-match long tournament.
