Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) revealed the schedule of the Pak vs WI two days ago as Pakistan will be touring West Indies to play in their grand home. The two teams were originally begotten to feature in three T20Is and as many Tests but seeking the ICC T20 World Cup a few months away, Wasim Khan, the CEO of the PCB, has interchanged one of the Tests with two additional T20Is.

As of now, the two contestants will be playing five T20Is to be followed by two red-ball matches. The tour begins on 27th July as the first twenty-twenty is to be organized in Barbados. Notably, the visitors will be infused towards hosts’ hospitality on 21st July.

The former chief selector of the PCB does not look happy with the decision to exchange the Test adding on two twenty-over games. He says the players will start excreting the locus on the red-ball format hence, the essence of the longer format should not be lost.

He believes the idea is depreciating the other form of cricket reckoning the one atop it through which ‘cricket’ is overall stirred.

The idea of reducing Test matches is sensitive and it is directly affecting cricket. T20 cricket is international but Test cricket has a separate value,”

“It is inappropriate with cricket to promote one format and devalue another one. It is important for boards to promote Test cricket otherwise players will also take away their focus,”
