The top-notched international and domestic players have initiated training today at the National High-Performance Center under the experienced coaches and staff panel of the Pakistan National Cricket Team, Shaheen’s teams. The purpose of the camp is to equip format-specific training for the players who are not part of the PSL 6 to train them under competitive and professional surroundings.
On Day 1 of the camp, the contestants were classified into two associations as per white-ball and red-ball and underwent skill-based and fitness training. The red-ball cricketers had net sessions in the morning tide along with fielding and fitness training in the eventide. The white-ball players had their fielding and gym gatherings in the a.M. and net sessions in the evening.
The camp is headed by Saqlain Mushtaq, who is head of the International Player Development. He was joined by Mohammad Yousuf and Umar Rasheed along with Misbah ul Haq who conversed with the players.

The coaches underwent discussion with the PCB. Here are the following statements:
Head of International Player Development, Mushtaq believes that these top-performing players are the future of Pakistan who will serve men in green cricket one day. He added that the contestants have gotten a fair opportunity to get trained under professionals. The coaches are willing to pass on their experience to the young lads. He said,
“We are providing the best environment to these top-performing cricketers. These cricketers are full of potential and are the future of Pakistan. We are very excited to pass on our knowledge to these cricketers.
“These cricketers have a great opportunity to train under Ijaz Ahmed, Misbah-ul-Haq, Mohammad Yousuf, myself, and Umar Rasheed.”
Describing the purpose of the camp, the NHPC batting coach, Mohammad Yousuf added that the players are provided facilities to utilize them for polishing their underlying skills. He added,
“Every player requires fine-tuning and that is what we aim to provide them. We cannot say that these players have technical flaws, but there are adjustments, which every cricketer requires. We also had them in our playing days.
“These players have been provided state-of-the-art facilities over here and this camp is a perfect opportunity for these players to learn and be ready to shine whenever they get an opportunity at the international stage.”
