Chevrons Zimbabweans suffer a big blow as an in-form player, Craig Ervine has been pulled out from Pak vs Zim T20I series due to an injury.
Craig suffered a right calf muscle strain during the first Pak vs Zim T20I that took place at the Harare Sports Club.
Ervine scored 34 runs off 23 balls and remained the top scorer from Chevrons’ end. Seeking the mid-order blow on missing their crucial player, Zimbabwe Cricket Board has announced the replacement.
Craig Ervine ruled out of Pak vs Zim series, here is who will replace him
Tarisai Musakanda, a right-handed batsman, will be joining the team for the second T20I in place of Ervine. However, ZBC has not cleared if the injured player will return in the midst of the series to rejoin the squad.
So far, Musakanda has featured in 3 Tests and 9 T20Is for Zimbabwe scoring 69 and 168 runs respectively at an average of 13.8 and 18.7.
Ervine, on the other hand, has gathered experience of playing 18 Tests and 26 T20Is scoring 1208 and 536 runs sequentially. Hence, he could have been a better regular help for the hosts.
Along with it, Brendon Taylor also has returned to the squad who was eliminated from the first T20I as a consequence of gastrointestinal infection.
