Another Milestone for James Anderson as he becomes the first pacer to complete 650 test wickets:
The veteran English Pacer James Anderson continued his impressive form in red-ball cricket as he became the first pacer to complete 650 wickets in the longest form of the game. Anderson completed this feat in the ongoing second test match between England and New Zealand in Trent Bridge.
Striking early with the new ball on Thursday , Anderson picked up the wicket of the Kiwi stand-in skipper Devon Conway making it his 650th wicket in test cricket adding another achievement in his long list of honours becoming the first fast-bowler to achieve the milestone. The veteran also has the most wickets for a pacer in Test cricket history.
While Anderson is the first fast-bowler to reach this milestone,he has joined the likes of Srilanka’s legendary off-spinner Muttiah Muralitharan and the Australian legend Late Shane Warne to become the third bowler overall in the history of test cricket to reach the 650-wickets mark and is followed by the former Indian captain and leg-spinner Anil Kumble who finished with 619 test wickets.
