Mohammad Amir and his controversies are not something new in the cricketing fraternity. Last year, he took over the social forums announcing his retirement from all forms of cricket amidst his ‘personal issues’ with the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). He urged that he is ‘mentally tortured’ by the current management taking an ‘indefinite retirement’ under it.

No fan must be speculating Amir’s road back to the national squad after his comments against the PCB but the pacer was pleased by the CEO’s kind action of visiting him at his residence to solve the problems at two ends.

On one hand, where the bowler is hopeful of getting a full-time vacancy in the limited-over format, he has slipped to incite the masses lately with some mediocre showcases in the going on HBL PSL.

As the second leg of the extravaganza recommenced in Abu Dhabi, the bowler was dragging himself looking to grasp a few wickets but remained wicketless in the RobinHood stage. However, he was lucky to yield Shoaib Malik out in Eliminator 1 as Kings faced Zalmi facing humiliation in the end. It counts Amir’s single wicket in the Abu Dhabi leg of the HBL PSL 6.

What can make people question his selection in the team if he enters, is his four wickets in the first phase of the league. Amir combines a total of 5 wickets featuring Kings in 11 innings averaging 69.80. Here are his stats of the season:

Matches: 11

Wkts: 5

Avg: 69.80

Economy: 8.37

Best: 1/14
