The Australian paceman, Aaron Summers has become the first international player to get featured in Pakistan Domestic Cricket. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) confirmed the news in a press release as the Southern Punjab Cricket Association has hired the player to play in the upcoming Pakistan Cup.
The paceman is ready to represent Southern Punjab in one-day tournament from 8th January as he will be flying to Lahore in the due course. Taking part in Pakistan’s domestic cricket has also made him the only Australian cricketer to do so.
As per the policies of the PCB, each domestic franchise has the authority to add a single overseas player in their respective franchises. Nadeem Khan, the director of high-performance PCB believes that adding foreign talent will enhance Pakistan’s domestic cricket.

The bowler earlier donned a Karachi Kings jersey in the Pakistan Super League (PSL 2019). He is happy to get his talent enhanced as he trusts Pakistan will give him a proper chance to boost his professionalism.
“I am delighted to have been offered a contract by the Southern Punjab Cricket Association, which has proved to be one of the front-running and formidable sides in Pakistan’s domestic cricket,” Summers was quoted as saying in the PCB release.
“My goal remains to be a top professional, and I think Pakistan can help me achieve that target,” Summers added.
