Babar Azam is all class! Undoubtedly, despite a few downfalls that are part of every prosperous person’s destiny, Pakistan’s skipper has proved his critics wrong with multiple sharp performances when needed.

As Pakistan vs England three-match ODI series went underway, the men in green showed an ‘overall’ mediocre performance in the first two ODIs. It was a series loss losing two matches in a row against the second-string hosts’ team.

The concluding ODI was a matter of dignity but despite putting up a decent total of 331 whilst batting first, the demolition was destined later as bowlers failed to stop the runs alongside not yielding many wickets.

Babar’s failure in the first and second ODIs led him to face huge criticism but he gave a shut-up call with the bat scoring the highest-ever knock-in England by any captain along with registering many records. You can see Azam’s records in the third ODI here. However, these ‘records’ did not help the out-of-form men in the green squad.

On his magnificent knock of 158 runs just from 139 balls, he nextly was lauded with praises all across the social forums. Not only from the Pakistani cricketing fraternity, but people across the border too have spoken in his favor. Aakash Chopra, the former Indian cricketer and now the journalist has also uttered some words in Babar’s praise.

Here are Chopra’s statements:

“When Babar Azam plays, he plays like Mughal-E-Azam. He was very very good in the last ODI. There was a big partnership with Rizwan also and it seemed that he will score enough runs to win.”

“He did not have a good start to the series, it did not look at all that the captain was in form in the first couple of encounters but as it is said form is temporary, class is permanent, this guy is class,”

He also has slammed the rest of the team who are reluctant to the high-grade display yet.

“Babar Azam’s stars are on the rise but what about Pakistan. It was probably England’s B or C team against whom they have lost the series 3-0. I mean put up a fight, at least get close to winning but nothing like that happened.”

This is slightly sad news for Pakistan as a country, it is okay for Babar Azam although he scored runs in a dead rubber a century in England cannot be taken lightly. Pakistan buckled up, if you don’t get the points, it should not happen that you have to play the qualifiers in the Super League,”
