PCB confirmed the tour of South Africa in next year January 2021 becoming the fourth team after Zimbabwe, Srilanka, Bangladesh. South Africa last toured Pakistan back in 2007. South Africa will now play 2 ICC World Test Championship fixture and 3 Twenty20 Internationals starting from 26th January whereas Twenty20 International will be played from 11 to 14 January 2021.
Karachi fans will see Pakistani Shaheens in their home ground as first Test will be played in National Stadium Karachi from 26-30 January and second the Test will played in Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium from 04-08 February. The Iconic Gaddafi Stadium Lahore will have the chance to host all the 3 Twenty20 International scheduled for 11, 13 and 14th February.
The home series against South Africa will complete the process for full resumption and restoration of international cricket in Pakistan, which started in 2015 and 2021 promises to be an exciting year for Pakistan cricket and it’s fans after a very long time. After South Africa, PCB is scheduled to host New Zealand , England and the West Indies .
Pakistan’s Young Captain Babar Azam delightfully welcomed the CSA decision of touring Pakistan and said he is looking forward to captaining Pakistan on home soil.
